Rain?

So, we get NO RAIN AT ALL for...like EVER!!!!! And now it pours and pours and pours NON STOP? I'm confused. One or the other....I'd prefer sun at the time being, because I really want to go outside and play soccer, but....I can't decided the weather....although it would be kind of cool if I could. I would make there be NO THUNDERSTORMS...because those things are scary....lol

Writing Assignment

Today I was talking to Lily on Yahoo Messenger and I was telling her about my writing assignment due next monday. The topic is "What goes in your house while your family is asleep?" I was brainstorming, when a wonderful idea popped into my head this morning. Since I was in a writing mood, I decided to start my paper. Once I had started though, I didn't want to stop, so I kept going....and going....and going. I finished it just as i felt the urge for Swiss Rolls. Anyway, I'm straying from the point. While I was talking to Lily, she asked me to post my finished works on my blog so that I could share them with her and all my other friends. So, here it is, and remember to give me feedback.

THE FRANTIC SCRAMBLINGS OF SCREAMER AND HIS GANG

The last light switch was flicked and the tedious snoring began. A fairy popped its head up over the rim of a lamp shade. Her wings made a miniscule flapping sound as she silently flitted over to the dog cage, meeting two other fairies there. They jingled and whispered together. After agreeing quietly, they sprinkled magic dust on the dog’s long and fuzzy muzzle, making sure she slept while the mystical creatures partied.

The window in the kitchen clicked as it unlatched and two satyrs slipped in, wiping their hoof prints off behind them. They shut the window behind them and clopped over to the fairies as quietly and gracefully as they could for a satyr. Three fairies fluttered down the stairs and whispered, “The spells have all been cast, no one’s waking up in this household until six o’clock this morning.”

One of the two satyrs screamed loudly, piercing all the mystical creatures ears. “LET’S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!!!!”

Brownies ran up the basement stairs and into the kitchen, carrying chips and sodas. The sliding door was yanked open from the outside and centaurs and satyrs came tumbling in. Fairies revealed their hiding places as they joined the party. Creatures pounded on the piano and sang joyous and extremely painful-to-the-ear songs. Rambunctiously, a satyr trampled around the kitchen and dining room calling, “I challenge anyone to a Wii game! If I win you pay me in GOLD!!!!”

Three more jubilant satyrs bounced boisterously into the family room and screamed, “I take you up on that challenge!”

The fun had begun. The first satyr, named Screamer, slipped Wii Sports into the game slot and turned on the HD tv. Picking up four Wii remotes off of the already messy floor, he passed them around to his challengers. He quickly picked Wii Tennis and randomly picked his teammate. Loudly, they hollered and yelled at each other as each team scored points.

The tv in the other room was switched on. Loud shouts and screams came from that room too as animals fought to the death for the tv remote. Centaurs pranced and trotted around the back and front yard, sharing their glee with each other.

All the creatures were all having a wondrous time and naturally acting like their type, when a loud banging and pounding sound shook the entire house. Suddenly silent, the creatures moved into the kitchen wondering where the commotion was coming from. Another strangely loud pound sounded, coming from the backyard. A centaur from the backyard screamed, “TROLL!!!!!!!!!!”

Panicked, creatures darted for cover and ran out of the now frightened crowd. Screamer took charge and bellowed loudly, “Come on guys! If we don’t stand up now, this hideous and foul beast will destroy our favorite partying place!”

A cheer of reply sounded from behind the battered sofa. A satyr crawled out and screamed, “Screamer’s right! Let’s prepare for battle!!!!!”

The creatures all screamed their most I’m-acting-like-I’m-not-afraid shouts and charged out onto the what they thought was sturdy deck. As they all piled onto the deck, they heard and ear-splitting crack as it gave way. They all toppled to the ground and realized that the troll was looming above them, reaching towards the house. Screamer leapt to his feet first and pounded his fist into the troll’s big toe. Another brave satyr copied his lead and started swinging punches at the troll’s toes. Following the creatures, animals popped up out of the large heap and pounded, kicked and slashed at the troll’s toes.

The troll howled and screamed loudly in pain, busting a few of the satyrs eardrums. Animals ducked and covered their ears as the troll cried and pounded back across the yard to his magic beanstalk which he had surprisingly climbed down. Climbing up the towering stem, the troll left the backyard and the animals all shrieking while holding their ears. Screamer stood up first. Then a centaur. Then the rest of the group stood up and stared amazed at the troll’s now small feet as they slid into a dark cloud.

The sky was turning orange from the sun’s rising. Screamer screamed above the murmuring, awestruck creatures.

“Listen up! We need to clean up the inside of the house, before the magic wears off! We need to work as a team!”

A burly centaur, with curly brown hair and a white horse as his backside, asked, “What about the deck, Screamer?”

“Yeah, Screamer. What about the deck and the yard?”

“Yeah! How are we supposed to fix the deck in twenty minutes time?”

Screamer shouted loudly above the now questions creatures. “LISTEN! Leave the deck. Clean the house. Everything needs to be lickety-spit!”

After opening the broken fence gate, the animals rushed in through the front door, since they couldn’t reach the back door. Quickly, they turned off the tvs and shut off the wii. Pulling the vacuum out of a nearby and quite handy supply closet, they vacuum the shedding fur and the mud tracks off of the horrendously dirty carpet. Other animals scrubbed the sticky windows clean of prints, while a clumsy satyr spilled a bucket of soapy water everywhere while mopping the floor. Screamer scolded the satyr and got ten fairies to clean up the water. Brownies swiped the counters clean of soda and chip crumbs. Fairies pulled fresh batteries out of the closet to replace the ones they strangely used up. Screamer pranced around hurrying the animals up.

As they were finishing, they heard an alarm go off upstairs. As footsteps crossed the floor above them, a hushed silence scattered. Screamer, now whispering, silently egged centaurs and satyrs out the door. Motioning to the brownies and fairies to clean up the rest of the mess quickly he scampered out and followed his companions. The brownies finished the last touches and scurried down the basement steps into their homes as the jingling fairies switched off all of the bright lights. As they finished they quietly slipped back into their lamps and air vents. Footsteps sounded down the stairs, as a father walked down the steps into the foyer. Flicking on the kitchen light he glanced around the room, bypassing the missing deck and spotted a hoof print on the floor. He knelt down beside it and wondered aloud, “How did this get here?”

Coming from the lamp shade, a small fairy chuckled.

Jr. High Retreat

I had a great time on the Jr. High Retreat this year. Our awesome youth pastor Josh was leading it and speaking. We had a lot of fun with all the games we played and a bunch of YUMMY food! One morning we went hiking up the mountain to watch the beautiful sunrise. There was an awesome zipline which we each got a ride on. We did a bunch of fun things and I really enjoyed it.

Prince of Persia

Tonight I had the pleasure of enjoying a movie, Prince of Persia, from the amazing redbox! I enjoyed the movie and I liked the plot line, but there was too much going back and forth. They got chased and then escaped. They broke into the peoples place who chased them. Then...they got chased again, they escaped, his brother dies....so sad...boo hoo. I didn't like all that. The time changing part and that whole idea was great though. And you have to consider the fact that this movie was based off of a video game. The free-running definitely was cool, that was probably one of the best parts. And the ostriches added uh...hmm...nice touch. I definitely think that this is a great family movie for families with kids 6+.

Soccer is my favorite sport to play. But I also like to play football and volleyball. And if Capture the Flag counts as a sport I like that too.

Hockey, definitely. I've seen at least two Washington Capitals hockey games in Washington D.C. I also like to watch football if it's my favorite team, which is the New Orleans Saints, with the Colts close behind.

I like Chess, but I also like checkers too, although I'm really bad at both.

Bible Quizzing

Great church day! I got up and got ready for church with a little struggle actually getting out of bed, but that happens every morning. Before Sunday school started a few of my friends and I were talking about video games...and strange enough PONYO, a movie I watched recently. (I couldn't believe that Matt Damon played in it!) Our Bible lesson is in Luke. We're moving along a little slow, but we are getting a lot out of it. I came home after the service and did a little bit of homework. On the way to quiz I memorized 3 verses and had a great time at quiz. There's my sum of a sort of exciting day. Tomorrow's will be better, I promise.

Rainy

I was so happy to have a nice day and to be able to get together with my friend and play in the great weather. Then it started raining. No! I was so angry! Whatever, I am sort of glad it rained, because we still really need it. My shoulder has been in great agony since that girl on the other soccer team fouled me. I can't lift my arm very high and I can't really use it because of the pain. I'm quite disappointed. Anyway, Astro Boy calls, because my little brother is getting quite impatient that I'm not coming to the tv.

Maya May

Well, I couldn't think about anything other then my dog to write about, so here it is. Maya May is my amazing and wonderful dog! She's so soft and fluffy. "IT'S SO FLUFFFFFYYYYYYY!!!!!!" Sorry, little phase there. Last night I was taking pictures of her. I put a floppy explorer hat on her and it was ADORABLE! I'll post the pictures as soon as I get them up on the computer. I have some other funny pictures of her to post too. :D

Well, Oreos can be eaten anywhere at anytime, but chocolate chip needs to be heated up or warm to taste it's best...so Oreos.

Soccer, 9/11, Ohio State

I will write this paragraph in a nice neon lime green, because that's my team color. Green and black. Today we tied up our game 3-3. (Thanks to my amazing defensive work.) I was covering this one big, tough girl. At one point in the game, she slammed me really hard and I was completely in the air! It hurt but I didn't really care because she got fouled. I'm ready for another game on next Saturday! (Which is a home game.)

Now, I'm going to go with white. 9/11, such a sad day. I remember when I was 3 or 4 and sitting in my living room watching the tv and seeing the tragic event....

Ohio State Buckeyes play a great game tonight! (this afternoon) Buckeyes vs. Miami. It's the biggest game of the weekend and will definitely be an exciting one, and you better be rooting for the Buckeyes!

Shopping

Tonight my mom, dad and I went shopping. First we went out to eat at Ruby Tuesdays where I got some wonderful chicken strips that I loved very much! I played a trick on my dad and took the keys off the table before we left and we went outside and he asked mom,"Do you have the keys?" And when she said, "No", he started heading back inside to fetch them...so I called out, "I got them dad!" It was funny...okay it doesn't sound that funny...but it was! After eating we headed to Staples and got some supplies for SAIL. I'm very happy. We got some blue binders for Rick (my older bro), he got light blue and dark blue and I got green and dark green. I was happy, although I liked the blue better. After that we headed over to Kohl's! Yay! (This is the best part, so don't shut your computer off yet) I saw some NFL jerseys for buy one get on 1/2 off. Good prices, happy day. Ended up getting my FAVORITE player's jersey!!!!!!! Drew Brees, number 9 for New Orleans Saints!!!! Oh yeah....the best! I also got a Peyton Manning jersey (also really cool) because dad wouldn't let me get a Romo jersey or a Steelers jersey...:( but that's okay. I still got a good one! I'll wear that one on Monday and my Brees jersey on Wednesday.

So bored....

I'm so bored! I don't know what I'm going to do tonight or tomorrow or the rest of the day because I'm so bored....there's nothing to do!!!! School...

Today was my first official day of school. Since I haven't started SAIL yet, I don't have too much work, but I still have enough that it makes me not want to do it....I guess I'm so used to using electronics during the day. But now it's no electronics until school is finished. At least it gives me some incentive! The first subject I had today was Bible, which is mostly just my Bible quizzing; and I have another Bible thing I'm doing, which I haven't done yet. I had to wait for Luke to finish his Math on the computer for me to start mine. This year I'm doing Algebra 1/2....Hip! Hip! Hooray! Sort of....I always HATE the first 10 or so lessons in your new Math book because it's all stuff you learned in like....SECOND GRADE! It was so extremely easy today. I learned about number placing and adding!!! I mean...I'm in 8th grade shouldn't I be learning 8th grade work not 2nd???? After I completed my Math I did my History. I'm taking an Ancient History class at SAIL this year and have a little bit of work I have to do ahead of time. After reading the textbook I started my Science book. Yay! I love science....sort of...it's fun sometimes. :p Now, I have to finish the rest of my Bible and practice Piano and memorize 2 or 3 more quiz verses. I'm doing a full set of school this year...a lot of work for a not very hard working 8th grader...At SAIL I have History, Writing, Creation Science and Geography. At home I have Math, Physical Science, Bible, Music and Reading. Yay! Lots of work...anyway, have fun at school today or at home doing school for those homeschoolers like me.

I do have a question though and if you can answer it...good. If man evolved from apes, why are there still apes around? I so wish I could run into an evolutionist and ask him that question. :D That would get him stumped.

Finally!

Yes! Tonight dad took me to GameStop to pick up my pre-ordered PSP and Birth By Sleep Kingdom Hearts game! I'm so excited. But with the PSP came a code that on this website you get to download 50 FREE songs!!!!!!! I'm so excited and two of the albums that are on my iTunes wishlist I now don't have to get because I just got them.....FOR FREE!!!! Hip! Hip! Hooray! Anyway.....tomorrow is youth group! Yay again!

Air Show

Today my family and I went to an Air Show, where air planes fly around doing flips and such. The main event was the Thunderbirds. There were six of them. Four in the group flying and two solos. They all joined up at the end and there were six in a group flying above the crowd and doing cool tricks! It was really cool to watch. Around the base there were also other planes that you could get inside or look inside, such as the C-5 and the C-130. It was pretty cool.

Wii Sports Resort

I was playing on the Wii tonight and decided to play a game that I haven't played in a while, Wii Sports Resort. I love this game because of all the different sports you can do on it. I decided after some basketball, ping pong and wakeboarding that I'd do a little bit of swordfighting. I was doing the challenge thing where you have a bunch of people attacking you at once and it's hard. Well, I used to be good at this until I hadn't been doing it in a while...I did horribly! I started getting mad and instead of blowing up and getting myself in trouble I started swinging the "sword" really hard and I actually started knocking some of the bad guys over! I was so happy that I finally found a way to do it that I kept doing it that way. Now my arms are so sore and because I way overworked my muscles I'm shaking like crazy and I hurt...so here's a tip, while playing Wii don't swing the remote hard, just do it gently and learn a strategy. :D
