long, sunny days

Well, the past week I have spent outside, running around and just being plain awesome. I mean, Friday night was spent with some great friends. We ran around a farm in Michigan. It was crazy windy, so we ran around this open field. It was raining too and since it was so windy the rain stung your skin....then we climbed up in the hayloft and spent the next hour just jumping off of a ledge into a pile of hay....skipping a few days, yesterday was spent with my younger brother, Lucas and a neighbor. We played basketball and since the basketball was covered in tree limbs and sticks, we jumped over the sticks and such while playing basketball, jumped out of the truck, climbed trees, skateboarded, threw the football around....etc. etc. etc.
The picture above was taken by my little brother, the skateboarder is myself (of course. O_o) I also spent awhile just riding on my stomach on the skateboard down my friend's steep driveway. It was quite scary at times. The funny thing is that the only time I fell off of the skateboard was when I was just sitting on it and going straight forwards....anyway.....

That is basically all I have to say, which is really really lame, I just felt like I needed to make a post and you know, I figured it would be best to post something that I've been doing. :p

God Bless,
Angela

Days 5, 6, and 7.

It looks as if I'm slightly behind on my days. I do have a rightful excuse though, so no need to be pointing fingers!

On Saturday I was doing school.
Sunday I was at a CAPS game. And then the Super Bowl. (Not bragging or anything, but my picks- at the start of the playoffs you choose two teams to be in the super bowl and one to win- were in. I picked Packers and Steelers and.....Packers winning.)
Monday, which is today, if you haven't noticed of course.....I had SAIL all day.

Therefore, you cannot blame me. Ha!

Now....on to the days.....

Day 5.
A favorite quote.

It is quite funny actually that Winnie the Pooh nails the highest amount of awesome quotes. He's the majority of my favorite quotes.

Yes, hint the plural there. It is way too hard to choose just one quote, so I chose more than one.

If you live to be 100,
I hope I live to be 100 minus 1 day so I never have to live without,
YOU!
~Winnie the Pooh

If the person you are talking to doesn't appear to be listening,
be patient.
It may simply be that he has a piece of fluff in his ear.

~Winnie the Pooh

Calvin - I've been thinking Hobbes
Hobbes - On a weekend?
Calvin -Well it wasn't on purpose....

~Calvin and Hobbes
I think those are some of my favorite quotes. I will say ONE more though. One I came up with myself. It is basically a motto for me. (Every New Year I make up a motto for me to follow that year.)

This year's motto:

Every day only happens once. Make the most of it.

-Angela

Simple? Yes.

It has plenty meaning though.

Day 6
A moment you wish you could relive

Does this mean relive because it was good or relive because you want to change the events of that moment?

I'm not quite sure....I'll stick with the happy things though and just go with relive as in the good way. :D

Wow, I know there's so many good moments in my life that I'd love to relive, but I'm going to say the honest truth.

Those moments aren't worth reliving. It's the memories that make them the most fun. You'll always have the same memories no matter how many times you relive that moment and that's what I want to keep.

Day 7
Five things you couldn't possibly live without.

Can I change that statement?

I can live without them, I just don't want to. Generally speaking, life would be SO much harder without them.

Hm....

1. Sports.

I have absolutely no idea whatsoever what I would do without sports.

Of course, if there weren't sports, I wouldn't know would I? but still....sports are....awesome.

2. Books.

Books are....awesome. The one word to describe them. You can learn so much from them. Books are a separate "reality" you could say. With imagination, you can make the books become something real inside your mind.

3. My friends.

Life would be so dull without any friends. I wouldn't be where I am now without my friends. They've changed my life so much....

4. My cousins.

I love my cousins.

Especially my two cousins, Callie and Ben. They've both helped me get through a lot and they care about me too, which makes it all the more better. :D

5. My computer.

Of course, I don't need my computer, but life would be harder without it. Without electronics in general.

Well, this turned out a lot longer than I thought it would be.

Well, it makes a better post!

Don't remember to wash behind your ears!

NFL Playoffs

Aahhhh…..Sundays…..

I am guilty. Guilty of being a twelve-year old (almost thirteen) sports nerd. And yes, a girl can be obsessed with sports. I am living, breathing proof.

Sundays are football days. Normally, I don’t HAVE to watch a game unless it’s my favorite team, which is the Saints. (And no, I don’t like the Saints because they won the Super Bowl last year. I liked the Saints all of 2009.) The only exceptions are if there is a really good game being played….or….the playoffs. This is the first year I’ve really been involved in being a majorly epic sports fan. I mean, I was a fan before, but not huge.

I don’t know how many of you people do this, but I do. Before the playoffs every year, once we know who’s playing in them, my family makes picks. Picks are where you choose what two teams are going to be in the Super Bowl and who’s going to win.

My picks: Steelers vs. Packers.

Packers will win.

The Packers are in the Super Bowl. YES! Just what I needed. And….the Steelers are playing the deciding game right now against the New York Jets.

*sighs*

Boy, do I love sports.

I believe that the Packers deserve a Super Bowl win. Aaron Rodgers, number twelve, is the Packers quarterback. He is….on fire! At the time he is the epic quarterback! Although he didn’t play the best game today against the Bears, he has what it takes to bring his team to glory.

My temptation has finally taken hold. I have made a sports post. I am sorry for the boring words being typed by my fingers, but once I start I have to keep going.

The Washington Capitals.

The used to be best team in the NHL.

Some of the best players in the league play on the team.

Alex Ovechkin.

Nicklas Backstrom.

Mike Green.

Alexander Semin.

Four great players.

All of them are having a bad year.

After all the complete and utter failing the CAPS have done throughout the season, they finally pull of a win streak! Two games. I know it’s not much, but it’s better than a loss streak, right? And we’re like…9th in the league, which isn’t all that bad.

Tomorrow, they play an extremely tough game against the New York Rangers. The Rangers have great stats so far this year and have beat us pretty bad this season. A win we need and a loss they need.

In the last game, against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Alex Ovechkin, who in my opinion has been playing absolutely awful this season, scored a hat trick. It took long enough for him to finally step up his game, but he did and it brought us a win.

Alexander Semin, number 28, played well at the start of the season, but has been injured recently and hasn’t played. His contract ends this year. Unfortunately, I don’t think that the Caps will have him sign for a longer contract. Also, I think that Bruce Boudreau, the coach MAY be fired. He really hasn’t helped the team much and I couldn’t care less, because I never really liked him.

Wow, that felt good to talk about sports. I could talk more and more and more about sports, but my bed calls.

I’m actually thinking about starting another blog, which would be a Capitals blog and only a Capitals blog, but I’m not sure if I want to do that or not.

Over and Out.

Angela

(Well….I typed this post out last night, but my internet shut off, so I couldn’t post it then…:( So, I posted it today instead. ;) )

Weirdness and Boredness....and....ness?

This is so strange.

I normally use Windows Live Writer to make my blogposts, which is handy, but can get a little bit annoying at times. Now I am at work with my dad, because....I'm going to a hockey game tonight!!! YAY! But, it is not type to rave about that yet, I'm still on the posting thing. Okay, back on track...I did not bring my laptop, due to I don't want to lug it around in a giant backpack and if I brought it I'd be on it constantly, without giving myself time to do more worthy things, like....school, which I did. (Thank goodness I didn't bring my laptop.)

I didn't think I'd be completed with my school so fast, so I didn't bring anything else to do except for my quiz material (which I have to catch up on...), my script for the Master's Troupe (the drama group I'm in,) and my sketch pad. Oh! and snacks, my iPod and my camera. I took a bunch of pictures that I'm itching to post, but since I am not on my laptop, I can't post them....

Guess what? Now I can talk about hockey!!!!!! Yay for me! :p

I am going to a game tonight. Washington Capitals vs. Vancouver Canucks. It's going to be a really really good game, that we NEED to win!!!!!! Although I think we're going to lose. Vancouver is the top team in the league, which means it will be a really tough game. And we're not doing very good this season, so...we really need to win this game to bring our stats up.

Now I don't know what to say, but I'll attempt to tell you more about my day....or something....

Dad has some pretty sweet employees. (Sweet meaning awesome.) One guy, no names are going to be mentioned, makes the funniest faces. Not on purpose, he just has pretty....well....(what's the word?) OH! expressive facial expression. That sounds about right. Another guy, he's just funny. (I believe I'm using the word funny to much...)

During lunch, which today was a ham and cheese croissant sandwich thingy and chicken noodle soup, we ALWAYS watch Sportscenter. Always. That's all there is to it. Today we talked a lot about football. (the Superbwol/playoffs mostly.) For those of you who don't know, every Friday on the Sportscenter they show: Not Top 10. Sort of like the Top 10 plays of the week; but opposite. They were hilarious. The only word that can describe them.

Wow, I had more to say about today than I thought I would. No matter how boring this day has been, I actually made it sound quite interesting. :D

I drew more pictures today!!!! YAY!!!!!! But....I can't post pictures of those pictures that I drew from looking at pictures....HAHAHA!!!! That sounded so funny.

Oh! I know what I can talk about!!!!!!!!!!

Last night, my family went to this skating rink (roller) for a birthday party for a friend of ours. It was so much fun. I only fell once and the cause of that was my brother attacking me. Okay....not attacking me, but skating really fast at me. He didn't "mean" to knock me over. He actually ended up falling with me. It was funny.

I don't remember if I ever posted about this or not, but I might as well....

On Wednesday night, dad, Lucas, Zechariah and I went to see TRON!!!! In 3D!!!!! It was so cool. I really enjoyed it, although it could have been done a little bit better. I guess I was just expecting more out of it. Although the music is AWESOME!!!!

With two minutes left of the movie, the projector shut off. :o All we could hear was the sound. At first I thought it was just one of those things where it gets to the end and the screen blacks out, then you hear the main role say the last line....then the movie ends. But that didn't happen. The people kept on talking....and talking....and we couldn't see anything. Then this worker walked in and told us that the projector had overheated and they'd rewind it a little bit for us, so we could watch it. :D It was funny. A highlight that I'll always remember.

Now I really am out of things to say. Which is kind of funny. I was on a roll there. Like a ROLLer coaster. Haha. That wasn't funny at all.

Before I go on rambling about some dumb junk I think I'm going to wrap up this post with my name.

Angela

(wrapped up.)

Oh! btw, the Vancouver Canucks: Canuck is a slang word for a Canadian just so you know. :p

5 short…why?!!!

This is my very first official post of the new year 2011.

Just so you know, today is 1.1.11.

I wanted to have my 150th post today, but this will be my 146th…I don’t know how I didn’t do it, I was almost positive that I would, but too bad…

Last night, I was at a New Year’s party at a friend’s house. We played outside all night!!!!!!!!!!! Well, until around 11, then we decided we should probably go inside. So, we played inside until 11:45. We had a devotional and then watched the ball drop, accompanied by young children blowing horns at the drop.

It was a fun party. Once everyone left, (I spent the night) we watched Inception, which is a great movie, just so y’all know. Anyway, no matter that it’s a new year and I have so many things I could say, I don’t feel like typing it.

OH! The Bridgestone Winter Classic is tonight at 8 and I’m really really excited. I was going to be going, but dad shares the tickets with some other guys at work, and one of the other guys wanted to go. I’m kind of disappointed, because it would be cool to have the experience of going, but I guess you can see better on the tv anyway, and sitting outside for a while isn’t my favorite thing in the world. I will be watching it though, don’t get me wrong.Capitals vs. Penguins. It'll be a great game.

Well, now I have nothing else to say. I could bore you with more hockey junk or football junk, but that would just be “junk” wouldn’t it….

I am watching Florida/Penn State football right now…

Over and Out.
