Day 11

Unfortunately, I must fail my followers....I don't like to put up pictures of myself on Blogger. Maybe someday I will, but not right now.

As I don't want this post to be a boring two sentence post, I'm going to make a normal blog post not doing this 28 Days thing. Just talking about....myself and everything else a blogger is supposed to talk about.

Originally, I would throw the word "hockey" out there and start talking about hockey and sports and all those wonderful things in the world, but you know, I'm not in a sports mood today. I'm in a...Princess Bride mood.

You're probably thinking, a WHAT mood?!

The Princess Bride. One of the best movies on the planet. The best.

The Princess Bride. *sighs*

The Grandson: A book?
Grandpa: That's right. When I was your age, television was called books. And this is a special book. It was the book my father used to read to me when I was sick, and I used to read it to your father. And today I'm gonna read it to you.
The Grandson: Has it got any sports in it?
Grandpa: Are you kidding? Fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, giants, monsters, chases, escapes, true love, miracles...
The Grandson: Doesn't sound too bad. I'll try to stay awake.
Grandpa: Oh, well, thank you very much, very nice of you. Your vote of confidence is overwhelming.

And so...the movie begins.

Grandpa: [voiceover] Nothing gave Buttercup as much pleasure as ordering Westley around.
Buttercup: Farm boy, polish my horse's saddle. I want to see my face shining in it by morning.
Westley: As you wish.
Grandpa: [voiceover] "As you wish" was all he ever said to her.
Buttercup: Farm boy, fill these with water - please.
Westley: As you wish.
Grandpa: [voiceover] That day, she was amazed to discover that when he was saying "As you wish", what he meant was, "I love you." And even more amazing was the day she realized she truly loved him back.
Buttercup: Farm boy... fetch me that pitcher.
[
It's right over her head, so he has to stand next to her]
Westley: As you wish.
[
Cut to them kissing]
The Grandson: [interrupting] Hold it, hold it. What is this? Are you trying to trick me? Where's the sports?
[
suspiciously]
The Grandson: Is this a kissing book?
Grandpa: Wait, just wait.
The Grandson: Well, when does it get good?
Grandpa: Keep your shirt on, and let me read.

Okay....let's continue....

(now I'm basically gonna skip around over the best quotes.)

Westley: Hear this now: I will always come for you.
Buttercup: But how can you be sure?
Westley: This is true love - you think this happens every day?

Later in the movie....

Westley: I told you I would always come for you. Why didn't you wait for me?
Buttercup: Well... you were dead.
Westley: Death cannot stop true love. All it can do is delay it for a while.
Buttercup: I will never doubt again.
Westley: There will never be a need.

You've gotta love these next guys.

Fezzik: You never said anything about killing anyone.
Vizzini: I've hired you to help me start a war. It's an prestigious line of work, with a long and glorious tradition.
Fezzik: I just don't think it's right, killing an innocent girl.
Vizzini: Am I going MAD, or did the word "think" escape your lips? You were not hired for your brains, you hippopotamic land mass.
Inigo Montoya: I agree with Fezzik.
Vizzini: Oh, the sot has spoken. What happens to her is not truly your concern. I will kill her. And remember this, never forget this: when I found you, you were so slobbering drunk, you couldn't buy Brandy!
[
turning to Fezzik]
Vizzini: And you: friendless, brainless, helpless, hopeless! Do you want me to send you back to where you were? Unemployed in Greenland!

And more?

Inigo Montoya: That Vizzini, he can *fuss*.
Fezzik: Fuss, fuss... I think he like to scream at *us*.
Inigo Montoya: Probably he means no *harm*.
Fezzik: He's really very short on *charm*.
Inigo Montoya: You have a great gift for rhyme.
Fezzik: Yes, yes, some of the time.
Vizzini: Enough of that.
Inigo Montoya: Fezzik, are there rocks ahead?
Fezzik: If there are, we all be dead.
Vizzini: No more rhymes now, I mean it.
Fezzik: Anybody want a peanut?
Vizzini: DYEEAAHHHHHH.

I believe that that it enough for you to get the picture of the movie, you definitely should watch it! Definitely!

I was ADORABLE!

Too bad though....because when I was young, we didn't have the digital cameras, we had the boring....FILM! Ahh....the old days....

Because of that unfortunate event, I will not be posting a picture of myself. I'm sorry...:(

This is an extremely short post, because I'm just giving an explanation of this.....:( whatever...I am truly sorry though.

To make the post worth it though, just keep reading.

You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.

Matthew 5:13

5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Now that just made my post a whole lot more better. (Bad grammar on purpose.)

Day 9.

Day 9.
A photo you took.

I find it hilarious that looking through the list this is the day that I couldn't wait to do....and....number nine is my favorite number! Okay, it's not that funny.....

I know it's not the BEST picture in the world, but it's one I haven't posted yet, so I posted it. Haha.

I really don't have much more to say, so I won't say anything else.

This post was boring, but the whole idea was to see a picture, right? And you saw it....so....

AnGeLa....

(That was stupid....)

Day 8

Day 8
A thank you letter to someone who has changed your life.

Really? This could be anyone! Every person who has come into my life has changed it.

I guess I'll have to pick someone....um....my youth pastor.

Pastor Josh,

Thank you for bringing me closer to God through your lessons and wisdom.

Angela

I know that this is really short and I know it's not that much, but....lesser words are better, right? I think......

Days 5, 6, and 7.

It looks as if I'm slightly behind on my days. I do have a rightful excuse though, so no need to be pointing fingers!

On Saturday I was doing school.
Sunday I was at a CAPS game. And then the Super Bowl. (Not bragging or anything, but my picks- at the start of the playoffs you choose two teams to be in the super bowl and one to win- were in. I picked Packers and Steelers and.....Packers winning.)
Monday, which is today, if you haven't noticed of course.....I had SAIL all day.

Therefore, you cannot blame me. Ha!

Now....on to the days.....

Day 5.
A favorite quote.

It is quite funny actually that Winnie the Pooh nails the highest amount of awesome quotes. He's the majority of my favorite quotes.

Yes, hint the plural there. It is way too hard to choose just one quote, so I chose more than one.

If you live to be 100,
I hope I live to be 100 minus 1 day so I never have to live without,
YOU!
~Winnie the Pooh

If the person you are talking to doesn't appear to be listening,
be patient.
It may simply be that he has a piece of fluff in his ear.

~Winnie the Pooh

Calvin - I've been thinking Hobbes
Hobbes - On a weekend?
Calvin -Well it wasn't on purpose....

~Calvin and Hobbes
I think those are some of my favorite quotes. I will say ONE more though. One I came up with myself. It is basically a motto for me. (Every New Year I make up a motto for me to follow that year.)

This year's motto:

Every day only happens once. Make the most of it.

-Angela

Simple? Yes.

It has plenty meaning though.

Day 6
A moment you wish you could relive

Does this mean relive because it was good or relive because you want to change the events of that moment?

I'm not quite sure....I'll stick with the happy things though and just go with relive as in the good way. :D

Wow, I know there's so many good moments in my life that I'd love to relive, but I'm going to say the honest truth.

Those moments aren't worth reliving. It's the memories that make them the most fun. You'll always have the same memories no matter how many times you relive that moment and that's what I want to keep.

Day 7
Five things you couldn't possibly live without.

Can I change that statement?

I can live without them, I just don't want to. Generally speaking, life would be SO much harder without them.

Hm....

1. Sports.

I have absolutely no idea whatsoever what I would do without sports.

Of course, if there weren't sports, I wouldn't know would I? but still....sports are....awesome.

2. Books.

Books are....awesome. The one word to describe them. You can learn so much from them. Books are a separate "reality" you could say. With imagination, you can make the books become something real inside your mind.

3. My friends.

Life would be so dull without any friends. I wouldn't be where I am now without my friends. They've changed my life so much....

4. My cousins.

I love my cousins.

Especially my two cousins, Callie and Ben. They've both helped me get through a lot and they care about me too, which makes it all the more better. :D

5. My computer.

Of course, I don't need my computer, but life would be harder without it. Without electronics in general.

Well, this turned out a lot longer than I thought it would be.

Well, it makes a better post!

Don't remember to wash behind your ears!

Might as well....

It seems like EVERYONE else in the blogging world is doing this thingy....that doesn't exactly have a name....I did this in...I think it was October, but it wasn't exactly the same and....well, it's a new year, so that doesn't really count.

So, I decided.....whatever, might as well just do it...look at the bright side of things, at least I won't run out of things to do for a blog post.

Since today is really the 4th day of February....that means I have to do Day 1. And Day 2. And Day 3. And.....Day 4.

Day 1: A favorite song.

Day 2: A favorite movie.

Day 3: A favorite book.

Day 4: A favorite band.

Day 5: A favorite quote.

Day 6: A moment you wish you could relive.

Day 7: Five things you couldn't possibly live without.

Day 8: A thank you letter to someone who has changed your life.

Day 9: A photo you took.

Day 10: A photo of you taken over ten years ago.

Day 11: A photo of you taken recently.

Day 12: A song that you want played at your wedding(or was played).

Day 13: A guilty pleasure.

Day 14: A vacation you would like to take.

Day 15: A person you admire.

Day 16: A song that makes you cry.

Day 17: An art piece.

Day 18: A time when you felt passionate and alive.

Day 19: A talent of yours.

Day 20: A hobby of yours.

Day 21: Something you know you do differently than most people.

Day 22: A website.

Day 23: A way in which you want to be remembered.

Day 24: A movie no one would expect you to love.

Day 25: A recipe.

Day 26: A childhood memory.

Day 27: A physical feature you love.

Day 28: Hopes, Dreams and plans you have for the next 365 days

Those are all the things that I have to do. Easy, right? Wrong.......I guess I'll start with...Day 1.

DAY 1
A favorite song.

Stupid bold lettering isn't shutting off!!!!!

whatever....

A favorite song? Wow...that's gonna be a little bit hard....
i think...definitely....

Well, you know there's a lot of songs out there and....yeah, my favorite is....

Your Love Is A Song by Switchfoot

I'd put a video up so you could listen to it, but you've all heard it and if you REALLY want to listen to it then....YouTube it! :p Sorry, that was kind of rude...

Day 2.
A favorite movie

That's definitely a tough one. There's so many good movies.

I love Anastasia. And Ponyo. And Xmen.

How about I just say....my favorite movie is.

Tangled. Despicable Me. Toy Story 3. The Sorcerer's Apprentice. Inception. Beezus and Ramona.

yeah...that sounds about right....

Oh! And Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1.

Day 3
A favorite book.

STOP DOING THIS TO ME!!!!!!!

First a song, then a movie, now a book?!?!

I love so many books. So many.

Normally, I would be obligated to say the Bible, but no matter how much I want to say that and make myself sound good....honestly, the Bible isn't my favorite book. I mean, I love the Bible. I learn so much from it, but I don't picture it as a book. I picture it as a letter. A letter to me. A letter to you. God's words in a letter to us. That's how I see the Bible, not as a book.

My favorite book is The Door Within.

By Wayne Thomas Batson.

It is a very good allegory type book. Christian fantasy.....it's so good! It helps you learn so much about God and His ways...in a different, yet fun way. Not like a sermon, or reading straight from the Bible.

Day 4.
A favorite band.

Uh....

Hawk Nelson.

Is.

My.

Friend.

And.

My.

Favorite.

Band.

By.

Far.

Was that a good enough post for you????

I hope.....

Food is good for you.

Again, only I could do something this stupid...

I was doing my Geography homework today and I realized......I just completely flip-flopped Colorado and Wyoming....and I wrote in pen....what am I supposed to do?

It's a stupid mistake only I can make.....O_o

Anyway....

My favorite hockey team is failing. We stink. Bad. We keep losing, even though we have the best team ever.

All this time I have been thinking that Ovechkin was in a slump. Well, I went to the Canadiens/Caps game on Tuesday and I realized that it's not Ovechkin who's in a slump, but the whole team that's causing him to play bad. He was all over the ice, playing as his usual self, but his team couldn't help him out any. That's why his stats are so low.....

Anyway, I'm kind of sloppily writing this post. I'm kind of angry right now.

Over and Out.
