the third part of the BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!

Well, from what I remember I left off at getting Group 1 Crew's signatures....the letter and the hug....so, that leads to:

The next session started. We heard a speaker and the Drama group and then....HAWK NELSON!!!!!! Okay, so originally, our seats are fairly far away from the stage, so we weren't as close as my friends and I would like to be, so three of us moved down onto the floor and got up as close as we could to the stage without getting in trouble and boy was it AWESOME!!!!!

The picture above is a pretty good idea of how close we were to the stage, and of course on the camera it seems even further away, so really we were closer. The letters you see behind the band spells out 'HAWK'. They were basically standing lights, they had like lights inside and lit up according to the overhead lights, note that they are green in that picture. Sometimes the 'HAWK' flashed red, white and blue, others they were yellow....it was just really cool.
This picture (above) shows Jason Dunn, the lead singer, doing....a jig? He really knows how the put on a good concert. Well, of course almost all the girls adore him....so they thought it was a good show just for that reason. I thought it was a good show because of the lighting effects, the song choices and the ways he livened up the crowd. At one point he actually jumped off of the stage and into the crowd, which was in my opinion a little bit stupid. He ended up getting back on the stage covered in what looked like glitter. He signed some autographs of the people right against the stage and then he took some girls camera from her and was taking pictures from onstage of....himself, the crowd, the other band members....it was so COOL! I was jealous. I was a little bit disappointed that they didn't do 'Friend Like That' but they did do some great songs.

So, the concert finished and.....we heard a few more speakers and then the Tour ended. :( My friend and I headed to the signing section to get Hawk Nelson's autograph. It was really really cool!

Here's some pictures:

Above: Other members of the band: Daniel Biro (left) and Justin Benner (right)
Above: (left) Jonathan Steingard (right) Jason Dunn

In the picture above, they are signing an iPhone case, with the iPhone in it. The genius who's iPhone this is set the video on record, so she's getting a video of them signing it. Pretty smart.

This above is Jason Dunn. I think he looks like a bunny in the picture, but that might just be me. I don't think he's that good looking....I do think he's a great singer though!

Okay, so the signings were over and we exited the building. We went out to eat dinner, blah blah blah....okay, skipping dinner and shopping and other stupid, boring stuff, we decided it was time to head home. (finally) We were debating just heading straight to the parking garage opening and getting to our car, but a few of us wanted to use the restroom before we left, so we decided to cut through the hotel lobby. (THANK GOODNES!!!!!)

So, one of our friends went in before us. (She's a faster walker.) She told us that Jamie Grace and one of the speakers was inside and that we should thank them. So....we two of my friends and I went over to thank them. We talked to them like three minutes then asked, "So what do you do for dinner after the show?" Jamie said, "Oh, normally a few of us go out to eat. Like tonight we're going out" (she motioned to her friend and her) "with Britt." Then a lady who was standing there with her back to us turned around and my jaw dropped. IT WAS BRITT NICOLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really, I have never seen a "celebrity" so out of it. I guess she was really that tired. She couldn't stop laughing! She finally was able to stop and pose for a picture with us, which was pretty great.

Well, I know that this picture is....edited, but I made sure that the faces of my friends and stuff, were covered for safety reasons. I left the "celebrities" faces the same.

And then we drove home, the whole time listening to Group 1 Crew. Over and over and over again.....

Live it Up!

Angela

PS Catie, I'm sorry I didn't have a lot of pictures of Britt Nicole, all the ones I have of her on stage performing were blurry, but I hope the one I do have is enough. :D

continuation of the BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!!!

Okay, so I got my Bible signed, right. We headed back
to the hotel and watched Madagascar 2 on tv. I must say "I hate that movie as much as someone can hate a movie." Anyway, didn't get to bed until like 12:30, which is actually a great time remembering that there were five girls in my room includi
ng myself. In the morning the stupid hotel alarm clock went off at 5:30!!!! So, we got up an hour earlier which kind of stunk....ate breakfast (a ziploc bag full of cinnamon cheerios) at 6:45, washed my hair, got dressed and took my luggage down to the car. My mom, one of my friends and I headed down to the building early to get in line for tickets for....more signings.

Really, you're only supposed to get one signing ticket per day per person, so my first instinct was to get a Hawk Nelson ticket, since I got Group 1 Crew the night before.....so I got that, my mom got one and my friend got a Chad Eastham one. BUT...different people were handing out other tickets, so I kind of took another one....a Chad Eastham one. I would've gotten a Group 1 Crew one too, but you know, they were all gone. Then.....the guy shouted, "I've got a few Group 1 Crew tickets left, who wants one!?" My hand shot up. Guess what I got? Another signing ticket! Yeah, I know that's sort of cheating....but other kids did it too....haha.

Anyway, after the morning session I got Chad Eastham's signature and my picture with him and my friend. It was pretty sweet.

Then....GROUP 1 CREW CONCERT!!!!!!!! YAH!!!!!

I'll post pictures to make this part more interesting.

This concert was SO cool! They sang some really sweet songs from their newest albums and some songs from the older albums. At one point Manwell (the one with the curly hair) taught a dance move. Also, for their song Breakdown they had a dance for the chorus that you were "supposed" to learn before the show, which I did, but quite a few didn't, which was unfortunate. Anyway.....It was really really cool! Then, after the concert and a speaker....I think......I went to get Group 1 Crew's autograph. (This is the highlight of my weekend.)

Okay, so I stood in line for a few minutes. Okay, I'll back up a little bit. When I knew I was getting signatures from people and I figured out who, I wrote them letters....I know, some of you may think it's stupid, but I wanted to thank them for coming out and tell them how awesome they were without stopping up the line....so I wrote letters.....

Now, on with the story. I got to my turn. I handed them the ticket thingy I wanted them to sign. As Manwell, who was the first one at the table, was signing my ticket, my nerves took over and I couldn't say anything, then I controlled my frozenness....I said, "I wrote you a letter." His eyes lit up and he smiled huge and said, "Thank you so much!" Then, since I was not nervous, I said, "Can I like....hug you?" He said, "Absolutely." My heart jumped. So....I hugged him!!!!! *insert extremely loud screaming* I didn't really scream out loud, but I was doing it in my head. Haha.

I cut my head out of this picture for safety reasons, but I thought you'd still enjoy it!!
Yeah, it was totally awesome. Then, I moved down the line so that Blanca and Pablo could sign my ticket too, which you can actually see in my hand. He said to the other singers, "I got a letter." I corrected, "Actually, it's for ALL of you." He said, "No. It's for me." Blanca said, "He's a little bit selfish." I just laughed.

BEST MOMENT IN MY LIFE RIGHT THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, I really don't feel like posting the rest of my day right now, since it's all about Hawk Nelson and Britt Nicole, so even though this was supposed to be two parts, I guess I'll be making it three.....

BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!!!!

I have to say that this past weekend was probably the best of my life. I traveled a few hours to Baltimore to see the Revolve Tour. There were speakers, singers, dancers and many screaming girls. The audience consisted only of the female gender, so you can imagine how loud it got when Hawk Nelson walked onto the stage.

I'll start with slight info on the Revolve Tour before I go into the story of my weekend. There were lots of speakers and a few bands and singers, not including the praise team. Chad Eastham, who I must say is an amazing speaker gave two sessions which were really great. The singers were: Hawk Nelson, Group 1 Crew, Britt Nicole and Jamie Grace (who sang "Hold Me" with TobyMac btw.) Now, Hawk Nelson is my favorite band and Group 1 Crew is my second favorite band, so you can see how ecstatic I was to see them in concert.

Now for my story:

The first part will be a quick summary. I went with my mom and a few friends and there moms. We watched 13 going on 30 in the car on the way there and listened to some awesome music. We had a pretty nice hotel, which also had a piano in it. Then we figured out all the singers and speakers were staying in our hotel too. *insert girly screams* We went to Barnes and Noble and Starbucks and ate dinner at the Cheesecake Factory.

Friday night Group 1 Crew sang one song, Hawk Nelson sang one song and Britt Nicole put on her concert. We had a few speakers and Jamie Grace sang one song.

Friday night Group 1 Crew autographed my Bible.

Now, I have to go do some SAIL homework, so the rest of the story will be finished in detail, another time....

Over and Out.

American Idol

I don't know how many of y'all watch American Idol but it's a great show! My family watches it and we've been watching it since season two....I think....I was only like.....yeah, let's just say I was young. Our family watches two shows together, besides sports of course. American Idol and Wipeout. Both: AMAZING!!!!!

The talent on American Idol this year is out of this world!!!!! I hate to see people go....well, the people I like. Haha. I love when the songs that they sing are available on iTunes. :D I actually just bought Stefano Langone's song: Lately. Well, it's not really his song, it's Stevie Wonder's song, but it's him singing it.

I just thought I'd make a teency-weency little post about American Idol since we watch it.

Oh! And Casey Abrams, from American Idol, was admitted to the hospital for stomach bleeding which means he has some sort of ulcer (if that's how you spell it.) So, please keep him in your prayers.

Oh....and here's a list of my favorites in order. One being the greatest, 12....being my least favorite.

1. Stefano Langone
2. James Durbin
3. Lauren Alaina
4. Paul McDonald
5. Haley Reinhart
6. Scotty McCreery
7. Casey Abrams
8. Jacob Lusk
9. Karen Rodriguez
10. Thia Megia
11. Pia Toscano
12. Naima Adedapo

Yeah, notice how I only have two girls under the 9 mark, that means the girls STINK in my opinion, except for the two that are high up on my list: Haley and Lauren.

See y'all later.

Wednesday, March 9, 2011

Today was like any other ordinary day, but I'll spiff up this post especially for you, just to make it....well, extraordinary. The list of things I did:

1. Eat.
2. School.
3. Try on dress-up clothes.
4. Bible Study.

Starting with number one. I ate a muffin for breakfast. With butter on it. A blueberry one. A slightly burnt one. So....a slightly burnt blueberry muffin with butter on it.

Moving on to the magnificent number two. I read Part III of Augustus Caesar's World for my Ancient History class. I wrote a poem for my poetry class. I did a few problems for my Math work. I practiced my piano piece for IFCA.

Now the wonderful number three. Yeah, this one is a little bit different I must say. It involves the dressingupwithmyfriendsatchurchthing though. Lucas and I were trying on some of the pieces of our old dress up clothing, hoping to find some new ideas....and oh, boy, did I find ideas alright. Some of those amazing costumes I had forgotten about....such as.....the clown, the alligator, Batman and the weird red dress. The ones I remembered included....the Chinese outfit, the Indian costume, and the Peter Pan costume. Tonight, I believe I will be sticking with the indian outfit. It's definitely worth wearing. :D

Number four. Bible study. This was my first time participating in a Bible study before. It was actually a lot of fun. There were three other girls. We talked about having an 'undivided heart' for God. I was happy that I learned something from it and that my friend Gillian invited me.

Now, I'll go on my random ramblings, since I covered all the things that happened in my day.

1. I love popcorn. All types of popcorn: Kettle corn, caramel corn, buttery popcorn, salty popcorn, plain popcorn....Even if the popcorn gets stuck in my braces, which it does, I love it. A lot. What I don't really like about popcorn is the Popcorn flavored jelly bean and those things in popcorn that are like....the outside papery layer of the kernel that gets stuck in between your teeth. I don't like that thingy.

2. Swimming. I don't like swimming. At all. The only time I really swim is at Lake Erie every summer, when we visit with my cousins, on quiz trips because my friends beg me to, or when we go to a water park. I don't really like swimming in the public pool very much. I like swimming with just people I know, not when a lot of other people are there too. And it's hard to find decent swimsuits lately. I hate some of the swimsuits that are available to buy.

3. I have to go do my math, so I'm going to stop writing.

Pigtails, Hair Ribbons and Children

Pigtails and rich red hair ribbons, along with a solid red long sleeve shirt. That was my outfit today. A few said I was "cute" others said "weird" I say....."different"

I love dressing up in different ways. It makes me stand out as a person and it shows off my unique style, along with my two other friends of course. But even still, our outfits aren't exactly the same. Anyway, our sunday school lesson was on....Reading Your Bible: The Daily Dos. Yeah, it's a weird title. Pastor Josh is away visiting family, so a "sub" was teaching. He's a little bit older, but he still has a good sense of humor and he knows a lot about the Bible. He spoke on how when we pray and read our Bible we should have the three Dos.

1. Have a set place.
2. Have a set time.
3. Have a set routine.

And then...the information on them.....

1. You should pray and read your Bible in the same place. It should be a place without any distractions, with just you and your Bible. It can be outside somewhere: in your backyard, in the bed of your pick-up truck, on your driveway, on your deck, on your porch, or on your swing set.

2. You should have a set time so you make sure you can keep your schedule open at that time.

3. You shouldn't just open up your Bible randomly and read at a spot, you should try to read through the Bible in order or one book at a time.

Now, the children part comes in.

I love kids. Absolutely adore kids.

My love language is gifts supposedly. I love giving gifts. Especially to little kids. Mostly candy, because I know they love it. Or silly bands, because kids love silly bands.

I become attached to kids, especially the cute ones.

Wow, I went into that long spiel when all I really meant to do was tell you about the adorable kids at church.

A lot of the kids at church are....I use the word again....adorable. I love them. I've worked at baby-sitting some of them along with other teens helping me. (For activities at church where child care is needed.) I've given gifts to children. Again, my love language. I would probably do anything for some of those little kids, at least to my abilities.

That was all really a bunch of rambles, but children were on my mind and I just felt like talking about them. Haha. *insert belly laugh*

I'm going to a roller skating party tonight. I'm also taking a baptism class, because I haven't been baptized. I'm really excited about both.

And to wrap it all up.

LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago.

~Isaiah 25:1

Rushing!!!

I really am rushing in this post this morning. I feel a little bit bad about not posting for a while, but you know what I'm going through.....homework, homework, homework. I'm leaving for church in like ten minutes, so you can see that I'm really really rushing this in, because I still have to figure out what I'm wearing.

Yes, I'm leaving for church in ten minutes and I have NO IDEA what I'm going to wear!!!!

Why? I have two really good friends. Every Sunday and Wednesday we coordinate outfits. On Sundays, our outfits are funny, but slightly timid. I mean, we don't want to be disrespectful. On Wednesdays we go full blown funny and outrageous. Like.....one Wednesday we dressed up as cowboys. It was pretty sick. I had pink cowboys boots, a bandana and a hat. They all dressed up too. On this Wednesday I think we're going to do pirates or indians....which is a little bit weird, but it's quite fun. Anyway, I'm running out of time. Majorly. So I'm going to wrap up my post with.....

Toodles!
