UGH!

My favorite one isn’t working. If I ever get it to work….I will post it……if.

I spent like ten minutes just trying to get it to work, but it isn’t really all that worth it….okay, it is. I’ll keep trying some other time. :p

Now, I just have to wait for a friend to finish her school and head out to the snow with me.

Over and Out.

Snow and lots of it!

If I were to tell you about my day today, you would hear a lot of things, but the word you would hear the most would be “snow.” And “snow” again….and again…

I hate snow, with one exception, more than a foot of it.

Let’s travel in time to….

Last year.

The weekend of the Superbowl.

Records were broken, trees were broken, cars were broken.

All because of H2O.

I don’t know if you’ve ever though about snow that way, but it’s true.

Frozen water.

Genius my friend and I were that weekend. We planned a sleepover for Friday night. :D Aware that I would get snowed in at her house.

I was there until late Monday night.

That would be next week. Almost a whole year.

SHWOOP! Back in this time.

About 4 and a half inches or more and it’s coming down fast. Very very fast.

We’re expecting a foot, but we’ll just have to wait and see how it turns out.

For the time being…..I took a few pictures. :D One of my hobbies. ;)

I assume you would like to seem them, so….1, 2, 3! Click. Camera time.

(Cheesy line, yet effective.)

Hershey Kisses-Snow 001

Okay, so this one isn’t of the snow, but who cares? It’s candy. Chocolate. It’s something worth looking at.

Hershey Kisses-Snow 002

I LOVE MY CAMERA!!!! This picture turned out really great…I was happy….

Hershey Kisses-Snow 017

This took about 4 tries for me to write. My fingers were frozen.

Hershey Kisses-Snow 021

This was kinda cool.

Hershey Kisses-Snow 005

Hershey Kisses-Snow 024

Our bush. haha.

Hershey Kisses-Snow 025

more bushes.

Hershey Kisses-Snow 010

Hershey Kisses-Snow 013Hershey Kisses-Snow 015

Well, that’s about it…

NFL Playoffs

Aahhhh…..Sundays…..

I am guilty. Guilty of being a twelve-year old (almost thirteen) sports nerd. And yes, a girl can be obsessed with sports. I am living, breathing proof.

Sundays are football days. Normally, I don’t HAVE to watch a game unless it’s my favorite team, which is the Saints. (And no, I don’t like the Saints because they won the Super Bowl last year. I liked the Saints all of 2009.) The only exceptions are if there is a really good game being played….or….the playoffs. This is the first year I’ve really been involved in being a majorly epic sports fan. I mean, I was a fan before, but not huge.

I don’t know how many of you people do this, but I do. Before the playoffs every year, once we know who’s playing in them, my family makes picks. Picks are where you choose what two teams are going to be in the Super Bowl and who’s going to win.

My picks: Steelers vs. Packers.

Packers will win.

The Packers are in the Super Bowl. YES! Just what I needed. And….the Steelers are playing the deciding game right now against the New York Jets.

*sighs*

Boy, do I love sports.

I believe that the Packers deserve a Super Bowl win. Aaron Rodgers, number twelve, is the Packers quarterback. He is….on fire! At the time he is the epic quarterback! Although he didn’t play the best game today against the Bears, he has what it takes to bring his team to glory.

My temptation has finally taken hold. I have made a sports post. I am sorry for the boring words being typed by my fingers, but once I start I have to keep going.

The Washington Capitals.

The used to be best team in the NHL.

Some of the best players in the league play on the team.

Alex Ovechkin.

Nicklas Backstrom.

Mike Green.

Alexander Semin.

Four great players.

All of them are having a bad year.

After all the complete and utter failing the CAPS have done throughout the season, they finally pull of a win streak! Two games. I know it’s not much, but it’s better than a loss streak, right? And we’re like…9th in the league, which isn’t all that bad.

Tomorrow, they play an extremely tough game against the New York Rangers. The Rangers have great stats so far this year and have beat us pretty bad this season. A win we need and a loss they need.

In the last game, against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Alex Ovechkin, who in my opinion has been playing absolutely awful this season, scored a hat trick. It took long enough for him to finally step up his game, but he did and it brought us a win.

Alexander Semin, number 28, played well at the start of the season, but has been injured recently and hasn’t played. His contract ends this year. Unfortunately, I don’t think that the Caps will have him sign for a longer contract. Also, I think that Bruce Boudreau, the coach MAY be fired. He really hasn’t helped the team much and I couldn’t care less, because I never really liked him.

Wow, that felt good to talk about sports. I could talk more and more and more about sports, but my bed calls.

I’m actually thinking about starting another blog, which would be a Capitals blog and only a Capitals blog, but I’m not sure if I want to do that or not.

Over and Out.

Angela

(Well….I typed this post out last night, but my internet shut off, so I couldn’t post it then…:( So, I posted it today instead. ;) )

The Mime Fell of the Cliff.

Today was a day involving school. Not just my own, but Lucas’. Lucas is going to a roller rink with some friends today, so I was helping him with his school, so he could have it done so he could go.

I helped him with his math and spelling.

For his spelling, I read him one of the words on the word list for the day, then come up with a creative sentence to show how to use the word, then he writes it.

After the first few words, he so very kindly told me that I didn’t come up with very good sentences…so after that I was trying to be funny with my sentences. I came to the word “mime.” So I said….

The mime fell off of the cliff, because he thought there was a wall in front of him and there really wasn’t.

Yeah, stupid sentence, but he thought it was hysterical. :D I was proud of myself.

That’s about the highlight of my day, right there.

Oh! The Caps have FINALLY been winning again! I’m so happy. Maybe they can bring their stats up now. :)

What has happened here??????

Well, I admit, I started thinking about my decision and realized that it was a stupid idea to even think about giving up blogging. No matter how much I’d love to have a break from blogging, I can’t. I couldn’t even last today!!!!!!! Which is extremely hard to believe….and now I feel like an idiot because I couldn’t keep a commitment. (Sure sounds like me.) I can keep promises though. I don’t break promises. I know this sounds stupid…..but I don’t count writing on a piece of paper “I promise” as a promise. I have to speak it. Unless I send it in an e-mail. Yeah…I’m a little technical about these things.

Anyway, since I’m now on my own wonderful laptop, which I love so very much, I can post pictures!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!! So you will be seeing my most favorite pictures of the ones I’ve taken in the past few days.

Random Pictures 002

No matter how simple this picture is, and how bad the background is, I still love it. And some people don’t notice this, but….my iPod is the thing sitting behind the headphones.

Random Pictures 005

This one’s kind of funny. It’s my granola. The funniest part is that I had to hold my camera inside the Ziploc baggy to take this picture.

Random Pictures 006

I am saying now that I LOVE the macro on my camera. LOVE!!!!!!!!!! Actually, this is my own eye. I also love taking pictures of eyes, especially my own. Coincidentally, I had my eye with me and my camera with me, so I took a lot of pictures of my eye. Here’s the others of my eye: (or my favorites….)

Random Pictures 010

I love that in this one, you can see the reflection of the camera in my eye. I love this picture. Love.

Random Pictures 012

Haha, this is looking up from under my cheek.

Random Pictures 013

That’s all the ones I’ll be doing on my eye….but I do have some more of other things. :D

Random Pictures 008

Random Pictures 009

Random Pictures 024

Starting with this one of the foosball table, the rest are ones that are taken out of the office.

Random Pictures 022

Random Pictures 017

The lighting is awful.

Random Pictures 031

This is my dad’s birthday cheesecake that we ate tonight. :D It was really good. And good for pictures too. (These are for you Lily. I took pictures of food…..finally! besides the granola of course.)

Random Pictures 036

YUMMY!!!!!!

Random Pictures 039

Once we lit the candle.

Random Pictures 035

I LOVE THIS ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Random Pictures 041

and……when we cut into it……:D two pieces are missing. :p

And that was Angela’s pictures for tonight!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been carrying my trusty camera around with me EVERYWHERE!!!!!! I love my camera and I am SO thankful for it. It makes my life so much better. And actually enjoyable.

Being able to capture God’s beauty through nature, yummy tastes of food, and just the random things in my life is so much fun. I’d love to go into photography in college, but I’d rather it just be a hobby. It’s not something I want to do for a profession.

I’ve decided which college I want to go to. And I want to go there REALLY REALLY bad!!!!!! But I still don’t know what I want to major in. I would like to major in writing (something like that) with a minor in music…..but I’m not sure if that’s what I really want to do. I mean, writing could just be a hobby too and so could music, I just can’t see myself making a living off of it. I love drawing too, but that’s just going to be a hobby I think.

I feel extremely bad for Zechariah, since he’s in his senior year. I’m only in eighth grade and I’m already fretting over college! Goodness! It seems right now all I’m caring about is sports, and women’s sports aren’t all that popular…which really stinks…

One thing I could see myself doing is something involving sports, preferably hockey, but any sport would be fine, besides basketball and baseball. Otherwise, sports would be great, depending on the job of course.

Wow, I totally just ran into my college plans, but I guess it’s better than you reading a bunch of junk about my boring day. :p

I hate school.

Okay….not all school, but I really don’t like some school…..

Like….let’s say….Math?

I really don’t like Math. I actually hate Math. No matter how much I don’t want to learn it, I have to think, what would my life be like without it? I wouldn’t be able to count….add….multiply….subtract or divide. No matter how simple those are compared to algebra, I do need those too. That’s why all my stupid math books bring back questions like those. And I can’t keep going over the same things….I need to learn other things in Math too, no matter HOW MUCH I hate them.

Now…if we were to go into the area of language…that’s a whole different matter.

I love language and everything about it. It’s one of my favorite subjects. Ever. Reading, writing, spelling….etc. I’ve always been good at it (don’t worry…I’m NOT bragging.)

Science. Science…..science…..

It’s not bad….but it’s not good either. Don’t get me wrong, some science is really interesting, such as STARS! I love stars. I adore stars. But with….plants? rocks? clouds? I know that those can be important, but I don’t like learning about them. I am really behind in my science this year. Really. Really. Really. Behind. I’m doing physical science this year. I did General Science last year and I loved it. It was so much fun.

History. I love history. Under certain circumstances. If I’m learning it in a fun way……meaning, reading about it in a good book. An interesting fictional book. I learned LOADS about Greek mythology from reading Percy Jackson and loads about Egypt from the Kane Chronicles. It’s amazing how much you can learn from one book and since I read a lot of books, I learn a lot. :) And it’s more fun than sitting in a class to learn it.

Music. I love music. I adore music. I…..music………*sighs dreamily* I play guitar. I play piano. I listen to music. I write music. Music.

Art. I love drawing. I draw a lot. I don’t draw well from memory unless I draw something all the time and draw it without looking at it. (confusing, yes. understandable, yes.) I draw well though when I’m looking at something and drawing it.

Wow….this is a lengthy post, but the more the better right?

Well, that was fun. I just totally rambled about school. And I enjoyed it. And I’m sure you enjoyed reading it. Maybe next time I should just write. And write, like I did tonight. No brainstorming. Just write on the spot. My blog posts turn out better that way. :D I need to go shower now, since church is tomorrow. Don’t worry I will be posting again. I won’t stop blogging. That is a firm decision.

Angela. The. Procrastinator.

Do I want to do this anymore?

I don’t know if blogging is really worth the time I spend on it.

I blog a lot and I don’t think I want to do it anymore, but I don’t know.

For the time being though, I need to take a break. For about a week or so. No posts. No nothing.

Weirdness and Boredness....and....ness?

This is so strange.

I normally use Windows Live Writer to make my blogposts, which is handy, but can get a little bit annoying at times. Now I am at work with my dad, because....I'm going to a hockey game tonight!!! YAY! But, it is not type to rave about that yet, I'm still on the posting thing. Okay, back on track...I did not bring my laptop, due to I don't want to lug it around in a giant backpack and if I brought it I'd be on it constantly, without giving myself time to do more worthy things, like....school, which I did. (Thank goodness I didn't bring my laptop.)

I didn't think I'd be completed with my school so fast, so I didn't bring anything else to do except for my quiz material (which I have to catch up on...), my script for the Master's Troupe (the drama group I'm in,) and my sketch pad. Oh! and snacks, my iPod and my camera. I took a bunch of pictures that I'm itching to post, but since I am not on my laptop, I can't post them....

Guess what? Now I can talk about hockey!!!!!! Yay for me! :p

I am going to a game tonight. Washington Capitals vs. Vancouver Canucks. It's going to be a really really good game, that we NEED to win!!!!!! Although I think we're going to lose. Vancouver is the top team in the league, which means it will be a really tough game. And we're not doing very good this season, so...we really need to win this game to bring our stats up.

Now I don't know what to say, but I'll attempt to tell you more about my day....or something....

Dad has some pretty sweet employees. (Sweet meaning awesome.) One guy, no names are going to be mentioned, makes the funniest faces. Not on purpose, he just has pretty....well....(what's the word?) OH! expressive facial expression. That sounds about right. Another guy, he's just funny. (I believe I'm using the word funny to much...)

During lunch, which today was a ham and cheese croissant sandwich thingy and chicken noodle soup, we ALWAYS watch Sportscenter. Always. That's all there is to it. Today we talked a lot about football. (the Superbwol/playoffs mostly.) For those of you who don't know, every Friday on the Sportscenter they show: Not Top 10. Sort of like the Top 10 plays of the week; but opposite. They were hilarious. The only word that can describe them.

Wow, I had more to say about today than I thought I would. No matter how boring this day has been, I actually made it sound quite interesting. :D

I drew more pictures today!!!! YAY!!!!!! But....I can't post pictures of those pictures that I drew from looking at pictures....HAHAHA!!!! That sounded so funny.

Oh! I know what I can talk about!!!!!!!!!!

Last night, my family went to this skating rink (roller) for a birthday party for a friend of ours. It was so much fun. I only fell once and the cause of that was my brother attacking me. Okay....not attacking me, but skating really fast at me. He didn't "mean" to knock me over. He actually ended up falling with me. It was funny.

I don't remember if I ever posted about this or not, but I might as well....

On Wednesday night, dad, Lucas, Zechariah and I went to see TRON!!!! In 3D!!!!! It was so cool. I really enjoyed it, although it could have been done a little bit better. I guess I was just expecting more out of it. Although the music is AWESOME!!!!

With two minutes left of the movie, the projector shut off. :o All we could hear was the sound. At first I thought it was just one of those things where it gets to the end and the screen blacks out, then you hear the main role say the last line....then the movie ends. But that didn't happen. The people kept on talking....and talking....and we couldn't see anything. Then this worker walked in and told us that the projector had overheated and they'd rewind it a little bit for us, so we could watch it. :D It was funny. A highlight that I'll always remember.

Now I really am out of things to say. Which is kind of funny. I was on a roll there. Like a ROLLer coaster. Haha. That wasn't funny at all.

Before I go on rambling about some dumb junk I think I'm going to wrap up this post with my name.

Angela

(wrapped up.)

Oh! btw, the Vancouver Canucks: Canuck is a slang word for a Canadian just so you know. :p

Art, Art and EVEN MORE ART!!!!!

One of the many presents I opened on Christmas morning was a sketchpad. A wonderful 100 page sketchpad. Something I’ve wanted for a long time. And my want was filled. Now I’ve been drawing. And drawing. And drawing. Not many pictures. Few pictures done in many minutes. Some I spent more than an hour on. Others more than two hours.

You’re like WHAT?!?!?!?!

I’m like: YES!!!!!!!!

Some of the pictures I was very happy that they turned out. Others I was happy that I even completed, but not so happy that they looked awful. Okay, I’ve made it sound like I’ve drawn many pictures. Actually….I’ve only drawn three. Yes, I said three. The first one, I spent around two hours drawing, although it doesn’t really look like it. The second, I spent quite a long time on and it turned out really really good! The third….well, the third is one of those ones that I’m just thankful I completed.

You’re probably thinking, “SHOW THEM TO ME ALREADY!!!!”

I’ll do just that. I’ll show them to you, with my head held high, my chest puffed out, and….well…..you get the picture.

HAHA! That was like an unintended pun. You don’t get the picture yet, because I haven’t added it to the post yet! HAHAHA! Yeah…that was lame.

Here’s the pictures:

Drawings 003

I am proud to say that I drew this. I drew it while looking at a picture of the guy on my calendar. His face doesn’t really look like Dave’s, but I’m just happy his face looks proportional. The colors worked well, and the logo took FOREVER, as did the skates, which still aren’t in full proportion, although the coloring does look fairly like his. :D Actually, the blue looking color on his uniform is not blue! It’s gray, which turned out to fit the color perfectly. Alright, alright, I’ve bragged enough about this picture. Time for the next one.

Drawings 007

This….is Daffy Duck. WAHAHAHAHA!!!!! I figured out how to rotate the picture after years of trying….well months…..anywho, this picture turned out really well, I was really surprised. I was really scared that the head wouldn’t turn out. I drew everything, including the beak or bill…or whatever you call it, except for the top of his head. (The eyes, and the black part…etc.. etc..) It looked really really good and I started panicking when I started drawing the other part. Haha, if you look REALLY hard at this picture, you can see the next picture under him.

Here we go with picture number three.

Normally I would say at this time, the last but not least. Not true. It is last. And the least. So….without further ado:

Drawings 008

TWEETY BIRD!!!!!!!

The biggest mistake in this picture was the cheeks. If I didn’t have trouble with the cheeks, the picture would look better than it does. WHY DOES TWEETY HAVE TO HAVE CHEEKS??!!?!??!!!??? Okay, so it didn’t turn out THAT bad…., but I was a little unhappy with the outcome, figuring that I spent about 45 minutes on the picture.

--------------------------------------------------------

I finished all my SAIL homework this morning, so I haven’t had school the whole rest of the day, because I put off my math until about three o’clock, which is an extremely stupid theory, but hey, at least it still gets done. So…my day was spent drawing Daffy and Tweety; I drew Dave Steckel last night.

Don’t worry, I ate and I took the dog out. No problems there.

I still haven’t had any good food to take pictures of, so therefore I haven’t had a chance to take pictures of food yet. I will take pictures of my foosball table though. When I finally decided that I need to get out of my laziness and put on a coat. (The foosball table is in the garage by the way, the basement is too messy to put it down there for now.) Actually, now that I’m day dreaming about taking pictures of the foosball table, I think it’s time that I head out there to take pictures. Haha.

th-th-th-that’s all folks!!!!!!

Decisions….decisions….good and bad….

I am so fed up with my favorite radio station right now.

Every few minutes, they mention the fact that it has been a year since Haiti and how people are still sleeping in tents and in the streets there and that we should be giving money to help them.

(I feel like I voice my opinions too often, but someone has to do it. :p And here’s what I have to say about it:)

WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?

An earthquake hit them and they don’t have homes, so let’s give money.

Well, there are people living in Washington D.C. who don’t have homes. They’re living on the streets too! They don’t even have tents to sleep in. They don’t have money.

Sure….they weren’t hit by an shaking, catastrophical earthquake, but they’re obviously going through an emotional earthquake. Why don’t we give money to them?

I’m a little confused.

The radio’s main focus is on the children without families, without homes, without any possessions.

There are children in orphanages all over the US without families, without real homes, without possessions and most of all without love. What about them?????

I am a little angry at the time, because of those reasons…

Now for the more happy things in life.

Today has been a very eventful day. Sort of. If you count school as eventful.

I did my SAIL homework. This was interesting. Not. The most interesting part was my mom explaining to Lucas how to do his school correctly.

I did a few Sudoku puzzles and took a shower.

Very eventful.

I hung up some clean clothes.

Also eventful.

I re-laced my shoes with turquoise laces and took out my black laces.

Eventful.

Wow….now the real interesting things.

WE GOT A FOOSBALL TABLE!

A very nice one too. It is wood. It has cup holders in the sides. It is really really really awesome.

I SAW DESPICABLE ME!!!!!!!

Last night, my mom, dad, Lucas and I watched Despicable Me. It was SO CUTE!!!!!!

I loved the minions and Agnes.

“It was your cousins ideas!” “WHAT?”

I love that line. :p

It was an extremely adorable movie. The plot line was kind of funny though. If you don’t look into it, you see that Gru is trying to steal the moon, so he can be better than Vector, who stole a pyramid. When Vector gets a hold of the shrink ray, he goes to all extents to get it, which means that he has to adopt three girls to help him into Vector’s house. I won’t give away anymore plot than this, because if I did….and you haven’t seen it….then….I would feel bad.

Anyway, if you go deeper into the plot you realize that the only reason Gru is trying to steal the moon is to get attention. From the world for one. But mostly from his mom.

In the end, his mom says that she’s proud of him and he becomes overjoyed. I thought that this was really cute. :D

Oh and at the end, when they’re doing the dance scene, make sure when it shows the minion being a “DJ” that you look at what you think says Blu-Ray Disc. If you look closely, it says “Gru-Ray Disc.”

:D

Do I Even Have to Have a Title???

Today is a special day. 1/11/11. Lots of ones. It’s not as special as 11/11/11, but it can be special in its own ways.

Now should be the time that I share the reasons today is special in its own ways. There is one catch though. Only one catch. I don’t have any. Do you hear that? None. Natta. Nothing.

I don’t even have a good title for goodness sakes.

I was awarded with a blogger award from Lily Litten. I am saying that I won it, but I’m not going to post it. :(

Sorry….I’ve been trying to limit my computer time. Hint the word trying.

This is the most boring post in the history of blog posts.

Wow…..again, I say…..more ideas? That’s thing that I need.

What else now?

I have too many posts like this one. Maybe I shouldn’t post if I don’t have any ideas. That would be a reasonable explanation. Wow…don’t even read this…..

So Sad…So Very Sad…

I haven’t posted in quite a long time it seems.

I was away on our church retreat. We had a lot of fun. I’d tell you all about it, but I have trouble retelling about things like that, unless I’m telling about it in person. I will post a picture I took of the snow. It snowed all Friday night, so my friend and I went out and took pictures. :D

Winter Retreat 2011 008

It actually looks like a bunch of stars, which is really really cool. Winter Retreat 2011 027

Here’s another picture I took of my jeans. I was bored and wanted to take pictures and all I had with me were my jeans and my camera…well, I was wearing other clothes of course, but I didn’t think that those were any fun to take pictures of.

Winter Retreat 2011 028

These are my seams. On my jeans. I love taking pictures of seams.

Winter Retreat 2011 029

And….the last picture of my jeans. I could have taken pictures of my Converse, but I didn’t think they’d be worth taking pictures of, since I’ve already taken loads of pictures of them. Now, I think I’ve taken enough pictures of my jeans, so you probably won’t be seeing anymore pictures of my jeans. I’m sorry for the such sad news…I mean, who wants to see pictures of seams anyway?

I’m running out of picture ideas. Unfortunately, my little brother hates getting pictures taken of him, so I can’t take pictures of him. I know a few little kids at church that I want to take pictures of, but they are younger and can’t sit still for a while. I really want to do more people portraits though. I have plenty of things that I could take pictures of…..but…so many of them are EXTREMELY boring!!!!!!!! I do want to take more pictures of all my shoes though. I have many pairs of shoes, so I’ll see how that turns out.

For now though, I am done. I don’t have anything else to say.

Over and Out.

More Works by Angela

I have lost my groove for blogging.

Wait…..that doesn’t sound right…let me change that statement.

I never had a groove for blogging, but if I did I just lost it.

There. That sounds better. :D

I don’t know what else to do on my blog, which is extremely sad.

Wait again….that’s a lie. I’m retrying that.

I have loads of ideas for blogging, but I have a feeling you would rather not read them.

I figure that it’s easier if today I posted some of my writings. Again.

It seems that you guys like to read my writings.

I have a few. They are weird though. I write weird things. They are really really stupid too.

My older brother gives me writing prompts and they are sometimes really really hard to do! So…I come up with stupid things such as these:

The prompt for this one was: Write about a lady living alone with her cat.

Okay…so I didn’t know what else to do. The title is: The Crazy Cat Lady.

Yeah, that’s all I could come up with. And this is the story:

Purring gently, Caroline rubbed her body against Mrs. Fergisun’s legs. The old lady, who was assumed crazy by all the neighborhood children, bent as low as her body would allow her to and scooped up the loving cat. Running her hand along Caroline’s spine, she crooned in a caring voice, “Who’s a good kitty? Are you a good kitty?”

The only respond she received was a happy purring escaping Caroline’s thin throat. The morning had just started and Mrs. Fergisun planned to keep the routine her and Caroline carried. First, was the loving and gentle morning greeting, which could be checked off of the list. Mrs. Fergisun slowly lowered Caroline to the ground and made her way across the kitchen floor to the counter, her walker being pushed along ahead of her. After an estimated time of five minutes, she had finally reached the dirty marble counter, which strange enough, had layers of scum and cat fur coating it. Opening a small cabinet to the right of the counter, Mrs. Fergisun reached her frail arm in and pulled out a yellow, cardboard box containing cat food. Eagerly, Caroline leapt to the surface of the counter, her tail flicking back and forth. Mrs. Fergusin opened the top of the box and bent down to pour the contents into a small, plastic bowl resting on the tile floor. As she turned the box upside down, small fish shaped pellets trickled out, half filling the bowl.

“Look’s like you get a smaller meal today, Caroline,” her voice croaked as she stared warmly at the aging cat.

Moving slightly out of the way, Mrs. Fergusin provided room for Caroline to hop from the counter to the floor and eat out of her bowl. All the time Caroline ate, Mrs. Fergisun watched, her hands tightly squeezing her walker. When the bowl was completely empty, Caroline lifted her neck to stare into Mrs. Fergisun’s eyes. Mrs. Fergisun sighed, pivoted and left the room. By the time she had slid into her armchair, which looked as if a bear had clawed it, the sun was beaming through the windows, lighting every inch of the room. She smiled and reached for a torn, dusty book laying flat across the coffee table. She ran her hands along the spine of the book. Sighing again, she blew on the cover scattering the dust away from the title. “Scrapbook,” the words were uttered from her lips. Slowly lifting the front cover, she stared at the first picture. “Father…”

She sighed and slammed the book shut. Caroline dashed into the room, turning her head back and forth wondering where the bang came from. “Oh Caroline…come here.”

Caroline trapsed over and cuddled into Mrs. Fergisun’s lap.

“Caroline. Why did he have to leave? He left mother and I alone…”

A lone tear slid down her cheek. As she sighed, she let her eyelids slide shut. When she awoke, the sun had gone down. There was no light in the room. She reached across the coffee table and pulled the string connected to her lamp. The light flashed on. Immediately she shielded her eyes, because of the sudden bright light. As her eyes adjusted, her doorbell rang. “Who would that be, Caroline?”

Making her way to the door, she slowly pulled it open and peered out. A small boy, no older than six years old, was dressed up like a pirate. He grinned and cried, “Trick or Treat!”

Mrs. Fergisun turned to Caroline and whispered, “What did he say?”

She turned back to the boy and stated, “I’m sorry little boy, I couldn’t hear you.”

“TRICK OR TREAT!” He cried for the second time.

“Oh, is tonight Halloween? I’m sorry little boy I don’t have any candy for you.”

The boy frowned and ran off. Mrs. Fergisun closed the door and murmured, “I miss being a child, Caroline.”

Caroline looked at her as if to say, “Go have some fun!”

Mrs. Fergisun grinned and made her way to the bathroom. She pulled on a bathrobe over her dress, slid some slippers onto her socked feet and popped a floppy hat onto her head. She went back to the door and scooped Caroline into her arms. She threw open the door and stepped out onto the sidewalk. The street was flooded with children in costumes. Mrs. Fergisun slowly followed the crowd and walked up the way to the first house. She rang the doorbell and when the door was opened she cried, “TRICK OR TREAT!”

“Who are you dressed as?” The lady holding a basket of candy asked.

“The crazy cat lady,” Mrs. Fergisun replied.

Then she took her share of candy, and went along with the little children.

I’m sorry. It’s a little long and really really stupid. Really stupid.

I thought I might as well post another story I wrote, along with this one.

This was actually for my writing class.

The reason it’s so awful is because I wrote it on my to a hockey game.

Super Powers Galore

The world is spinning around me in slow motion. I try to close my eyes, but they feel as if they are being held open. A razor sharp pain cuts into my stomach as a fist hits me. I feel dizzy and slightly discombobulated as I fall to the waiting floor. I move my eyes upward and stare into Chris’ hazel colored eyes filled with evil. A light moan escapes my mouth as I realize my lip is bleeding. My head throbs as my eyesight flickers in and out in a haze of black and white. Slow motion laughing fills my ears as I wonder what’s happening to me. I start squinting my eyes shut tightly and wish that I could feel no pain and fight back.

As the wish flows through my mind, all the pain in my stomach is slowly vanishing. I start to realize that my lip is not wet anymore and I can’t taste any blood. Quickly, I flick my eyelids open and all my senses come rushing at me. Looking up, I see that Chris is still standing above me guffawing at my state. An evil insight is rushing through me and I leap to my feet throwing my fists wildly. The first hit strikes him in surprise. Eagerly swinging my fists, I grin as I see that I am pounding him to bits. Holding up his hands he screams, “I surrender!”

I pull back and grin. Pumping my feet, I dash down the hall only to realize that I am no longer on the ground, but swiftly gliding through the air. Finally, I fly from the school and land on my feet in the middle of the school yard and realize I have super powers.

A shout echoes from the school. I turn around and see that Chris is running after me. I stand and stare at him and he jumps into the air, but he doesn’t land! Chris is a superhero too, except I think he’s a super villain! I leap into the air and hover above the ground. He charges me. I shut my eyes real tight and then open them really wide and two red lasers shoot from my eyeball sockets blasting Chris out of the sky. I smile and land on the ground. I am now a superhero and I am going to battle super villains.

Now that I have bored your brains and turned them to mush, have fun with school the rest of the day. I just made it interesting for you.

PUMA!!!!!

Puma.

One of my favorite brands. Ever.

This year for Christmas, I received a pair of Puma tennis shoes. Awesome Puma tennis shoes. White and green. And did I mention? AWESOME!!!!!

Today, I slid them so I could walk outside and collect our daily mail. As I stepped outside and leapt off of our porch and bounded over the mulch and bushes, running across the yard to the mailbox, a thought crossed my mind. I felt like I could advertise these shoes! I felt….

Like I could climb any mountain.

Like I could run across any desert.

Like I could jump over any chasm.

Like I could do millions of jumping jacks.

Like I could wade through a stream.

I wished that I could be on a commercial and have one of those labels under me that says “Not a paid actor. A real customer.”

Now that I have shared my mind with you, I realized that you have no idea what they look like, except that they are white and green and awesome and Puma. Therefore, I am taking the liberty to post awesome pictures that I took, myself, may I mention.

Random Pictures 001

This is the top of my shoe. My laces are very clean, then again, my whole shoe is very clean. I have made a pact not to play outside with them on. :D (That won’t last very long.)

Random Pictures 002

This is the side of my shoe. ;) The pattern is totally cool.

Random Pictures 003

This is my tongue. *rolls eyes* Not the one I use to speak, but the tongue of my shoe. I was trying out my macro. Also, I really felt like advertising the Puma part.

Random Pictures 004

I really like this picture. You don’t really see a lot of the shoe, but what you do see shows you that it is, one; an skate/tennis shoe, two; it’s white with green coloring.

Random Pictures 005

This is the side/back. In the background you can see Lucas’ New Balance tennis shoes and my awesome Adidas flip-flops (which I also got for Christmas.)

*sighs*

While I’m talking about Puma, I might as well post this other picture I took of my Puma bag. (It’s awesome.)

The picture is only of the zipper tabs or whatever those thingies that pull the zipper are called.

Rented Christmas (Backstage) 023

Well, the second period of the Caps vs. Lightning game has started and I’m being distracted, so my mind is not fully into this post anymore.

And….this is a really big game. The winner will be first in the South-East Division. (Not for the rest of the season, but until another beats out their records.)

Over and Out.
